1/18/2024 0 Comments Stream camera overlay![]() ![]() Webcam, American Pixel has exactly right. Not a streamer, but I've never understood why people overlay the chat, I usually watch CS:GO streams or similar and the only time I can see using a chat onscreen overlay is for things like case openings where you might want to upload t o YouTube later and have chat reactions. Ask any questions you like.Īs far as Overlay and Donation/Follower software, I use Streampro.io (free and easy) Please feel free to check out my past streams on my channel. Until I get a dedicated gaming room with blackout shades over the windows, the greenscreen will have to wait (getting the lighting right is tricky). I used to run a green screen but had issues when the sun went down. All games have their HUDS set up differently. My camera position varies based on the game I'm playing. At center is my name, far left is last donators name & far right is last followers name. I have a basic bottom border with 3 things on it. It just looks cleaner.Īs far as overlay, I prefer a VERY simple look. Then look at a streamer who reads chat but is looking towards their game. Watch some streamers who read chat and they are looking away from the game. This way when you read chat (which is on your right), it looks like you are looking towards your game and not away from it (reading chat). If you use another monitor to watch chat and it's on your right (game on left), but your camera position is on the left side of your screen, be sure to reverse/flip your camera setting in OBS. So I put the camera positioned on the left side so searchers see that you have a cam. If I'm searching channels, I tend to gravitate to those who have a camera (I think most do). Reason I put it on the left side, when you search channels, Twitch puts the games title and banner on the right side of your preview box, thus covering you and your beautiful face (if your camera is on the right side). I put my cam on the left side and position it so whatever game I am playing, it doesn't cover up the HUD or other valuable in-game info. Some tips I learned from experienced streamers about the camera position etc. Thanks to /u/iTruthful and Conceptional for the art!
